25 Black Faces Manipulated on Trustworthiness (Steps of 0.25 SD)

Twenty-five maximally distinct male identities were created using FaceGen Modeller program (http://facegen.com) Version 3.1. We varied each facial identity along the dimension of trustworthiness on both shape and reflectance. The description of how the models of these dimensions were created is provided in Oosterhof & Todorov (2008) and Todorov & Oosterhof 2011. Using the models, each identity was manipulated to create twenty-five versions (-3 SD to 3 SD, in increments of 0.25 SD) on trustworthiness. A detailed description of the generation of the face stimuli and their validation is available in Todorov et al. (2013)..
